MARIA for mixed choir
MARIA was commissioned by Toonkunst Philharmonisch Koor Rotterdam and Maria van Nieukerken, on the occasion of ‘Night of the Proms-010’ in Rotterdam.
It is a short work, inspired by the name Maria and two great ‘classics’ from the music literature; MARIA from West Side Story by Leonard Bernstein and MARIA MARIA by Carlos Santana.
