for small chamber ensemble
Odyssé was originally made for sinfonietta in 2002 as a compositional interpretation of Lyric Pieces op. 54 of Edvard Grieg.
The main characters of the six pieces were kept, but the titles were omitted (Shepherd’s boy, Norwegian March,
March of the Dwarfs, Notturno, Scherzo, and Bell ringing).
I did this to put a focus on Griegs opus 54 in its entirety, and not as seperated small pieces.
Odyssé was commissioned by the BIT20 Ensemble.
